Lots of good dancing! Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati
and Columbus brought teams for this competition. This is purely
for fun and it gives the dancers an excuse to get some moves polished
up.
My personal opinion is that the lighting situation could have been
better. I didn't ask, nor did I want to bother anyone, so I did
not use a camera light. On the stage side, (facing the judges)
the lighting is clearly better than from the judges point of view.
As for the dancing, I missed the first dance (Detroit, sorry!), the
all skate, and the third Cleveland Couple (Sorry!).
The picture came out pretty good, although it's got a film-like
look to it from the lighting. It's enjoyable to watch if you
know the people competing, or are fairly new to the swing scene.
I know there are a few other angles floating around (James from
Miami U, and someone from Cleveland). I've got James, and will
see what else I can get. I'd like to put them into a
multi-angle DVD because at least I'd like to see it! Actually, it's
not that big of a deal. I recommend getting either the $5 VHS
tape, or definately slap it on the other half of one of the other
DVD's. The menu's really cool. It's a looping display
featuring a few moves from each of the dancers.
The video runs about 41 minutes in length.
